My name is Hiram and I'm a Full Stack Developer!

My passion lies in solving complex problems in simple, efficient ways. I've studied full stack web development with Thinkful in their Engineering Immersion program. While the MERN (MongoDB Express React NodeJS) stack, in JavaScript, is what I'm most confortable with at the moment; I'm always looking to expand my repertoire and incorporate any new technologies that may help me solve a problem. I'm also not afraid to buckle down and come up with my own solutions when I can't quite find one that fits.
Outside of work I love to track down and visit restaraunts that serve authentic foreign foods, I play too many video games, I write google reviews about ice cream parlors, and I sing a lot of karaoke.

Spanish Flash is an app that uses a flash-card style approach to helping one learn Spanish. The technique is backed up by the spaced repetition algorithm, which is proven to help with learning and enforcing one's understanding.

Commit2Win

Commit2Win is a web app created with the goal of using competition to encourage better version control usage. By tracking Github contributions, it allows users to compete with each other on a day-to-day basis. Users are further encouraged to compete with a challenge system that allows a user to directly compare their contributions with another.
